here am I. My name is Francisco
J. González (Fran),
I'm 30, I was born on September
1, 1977 in Rioja, a little village
near Almería -inside Andalusia-
and currently I live in Madrid -Spain-.
I knew Michelle when I was 8, I
saw her in Ladyhawke
movie and I don't know what happenned...
I loved her, not like a sex-symbol
but I'm not be able to explain.
I was too young, I just knew I liked
the Ladyhawke's actress, I didn't
know her name neither her movies,
I just knew she was the most beautiful
woman I've ever seen. So some years
later I came back to see her in
Dangerous
Liaisons, I came back to
re-discover her, and it was the
boom, it was sure, she was something
nice changed my life. I know that
since then I keep on her career
and I've been collecting stuff about
her, movies, pics, interviews...
etc. and of course I started to
be interested on films and so I
chose my career: I studied Art
Direction & Architecture of
Shows. I've been working
in a lot of Spanish TV-Series such
as Un Paso
Adelante - A
Step Forward (a great success
in Spain), Aquí
No Hay Quien Viva - Nobody
can live here! (the biggest
success lately in Spain), A
tortas con la vida - Fighting
with the Life, Planta25
- Floor25...
etc and currently I'm working as
Graphic-Designer in an Entertainment
& Television Pruduction Company.
Coming about my interest for Michelle
Pfeiffer, as I love desings
I begun to learn to built websites
myself, it was thank my Dreamwaver
tutorial, but I ned a subject or
theme that I knew so pretty... so
the answer was so sure... Michelle
Pfeiffer. So on spring 2002 I started
all the process to built the fansite,
getting the information about Michelle
from my personal collection, the
net... etc. and on June 2 the site
was been released... but the choice
of the site's name was a difficult
question.
But let's come back to the name's
choice. I ned a name for my site,
I though about a million of names,
but I think the nicer was The Face
(really I always called my site
"Pfeiffer The Face" all
togethet, but I know that the most
of you call the site "The Face",
and I like it... it sounds like
a own name), I guess and I know,
some of you don't like the title
because it is so superficial, and
you know Michelle isn't a simply
face, she is much more, she is one
of the best actresses of cinema...
I know, I know... well, you will
see, I'm going to explain to you
and I know you will understand it...
at first it was "Michelle Pfeiffer,
El Rostro - The Face", the
title in Spanish and English, but
it sounded too large. I loved "El
Rostro" because in Spanish
it sounds so poetical, "el
rostro" don't mean simply a
face, it is beyond a simple face,
it is something spiritual, it is
much deeper... you are understanding,
isn't it?
I've told you above I discovered
Michelle in Ladyhawke,
well, I was too young and I didn't
understand at that time, I didn't
know who was that woman, I just
knew that her eyes, her mouth, her
features, like she moved, like she
talked, like she looked at... al
about herl... she was the perfect
woman, she was magical, ethereal...
all that is that she communicated
it to me and all it was inside -in
Spanish- rostro/ -in English- face...
on the other hand, she is an actress,
well, an actress communicates something...
and she does with a body, a arms,
a hands... etc but I think that
where is the biggest capacity to
commuticate a feel, as expression,
reaching the public... is from a
face, a gesture... and I think Michelle
touches us.
So, the question is easy, why "The
Face"?... Michelle
is The Face
