So many days talking in the same restaurant about the same thing can make people become a little bit crazy. That´s my case...and the webmaster of this site too. After so many luncheons, dinners and coffees..there are at least 20 topics about Michelle that always appear in our conversations. One of them has always seemed a special one to me...And this time nor God or Virgin Mary will free me from writting about it. Fran asked me this time even a hardest challenge: to write about Michelle´s fans. Well..ok...it seems easy for all of u, readers. Ok..u are right...it should be easy for me to write about that since I AM a fan too!. But..what would you think if i tell you that almost 8 out of 10 of her fans are girls?. Ok..it´s easy too..because i´m one. Yes....but what if i tell u that 4 out of that 8 fans are gays?. This time is harder, believe me, cuz i´m not a guy...nor gay. Nor lesbian either. So.....hope u all forgive me for what u are about to read. These are just the thoughts of a girl who is triying to write about other fans, girls. I´d like other fans, gays, to write about this too.....;)

The internet is full of doors, sites, balconies, Portals.....and behind them there are always PERSONS, not machines. And how curious, some hundreds of them are shut away in a couple of great sites......dedicated to Michelle Pfeiffer. WE are that persons. And we have many things in common, apart from being Michelle Pfeiffer´s pfans. We are mainly girls..and gays. WHY? That´s the question Fran and me are always asking one each other. Why? I dunno. But i think i can deduce some points in order to explain why us, GIRLS, love Michelle Pfeiffer so much. The 1st of all.....is called Beauty.

As i´ve said, we are firstly Humans....then girls, gays, young, old, straight or gays. And as humans we can´t deny that the first thing we see in the others is their appearance. And that´s what attract us: the manners, gestures, lookings, tics, colours, textures...of the others. I know we have seen “Beauty and the beast” hundreds of times..but, please, be honest...it´s just a movie. Reality is not always a fair tale. And all humans are in some way...shallow. If we were not that way....Earth would be another planet, not a human planet..it would be some kinda “perfect” place in the solar system. I´ve never heard about that planet, please, if somebody knows about it..tell me..i´ll emigrate there.
But since i live here...i admit that i´m interested in people´s appearance too. After that, we can talk about different degrees (some people is alarmingly obsessed with their looking). But now....i´m just sure of 1 thing: Rubens would had never painted Pfeiffer in his portraits. So...the 1st conclusion: Michelle Pfeiffer represents basically the ideal of beauty of the current decades: Skinny, blonde, sensual.

Since she represents BEAUTY (with capital leters) people simply like to stare at her. Everything is normal...so far. But Michelle Pfeiffer has more qualities, and now is when we talk about the other points. Why does she attract girls? Mainly because her beauty is half the typical one right now and half a different one. She is blonde, and skinny..of course. But Pamela Anderson is blonde and skinny too. And many girls simply hate her. Hate her look. So...to be clear...Michelle Pfeiffer is not perfect..she is human, just human. She is blonde....but she does her hair as we girls do,.....sincerely....i can´t imagine her everyday in the hairdresser´s. She has blue eyes....yes. But she is short sighted..like me, for instance ;). That makes her a little more close to us, ordinary mortals ;) She is skinny...yes..that´s right too. But she has had many problems due to she is TOO skinny (Anorexic say many). And her body...well.....she is not Pamela....nor her breasts. So that makes her more and more close to us once again. And we could keep and keep finding things on her that make us, girls, feel identified in some ways.

And now is when we turn to talk about he most important things we, humans, have....ourselves. Our face behind our bodies. And for me that´s what really attract us from her. Michelle Pfeiffer is simply Michelle. A 45 years old woman close to middle age who is just bringing up her kids and triying to keep her marriage alive in such a dangerous jungle as Hollywood is. So....let´s say that she is doing what we (young girls) would like to do in a future: be happy, have children and find a true friendship in our marriage. But may be it´s going to be better for some people if i try to explain it from the other side: let´s imagine what she could be doing right now: She could be attending parties every night in LA. And she could have divorced 3 times....having 2 kids per marriage. She could have had 2 plastic surgeries and made some scandalous acts or comments in Jay Leno´s show....well...she could be doing so many things right now!.....But instead, she is doing what she wants to, what she considers more coherent. And that´s why i personally admire her. She is careful and heartly dedicated to her family....even though it has implied to sacrifice her career. Yes, i know, pfans..it hurts. But it´s her choice..remember “Dangerous minds”. We girls just respect her because she respects us, woman in general, with her acts and comments. She is some kind of “girl next door” that make all people love her. And moreover: she hides another face (the one she has shown in some films), like women in general. We all hide a cat behind our mask . Misterious is always connected to the word “Woman”, and Pfeiffer is mainly a misterious woman.

To idealize her is simply stupid, because she is constantly proving how close to earth she is (for instance last December in LA with the homeless people). Criticize her is even more stupid,bcuz her behaviour is obviously irreproachable. To envy her it´s nonsense...since she is not physically nor mentally perfect: she has mistakes, she has explained which are her fears, her complexes and her dreams. So..since we can´t idealize her, nor envy her or critizice her....we are just able to admire her. It may seem that she has trapped us, but that´s wrong...we have let her to trapp us...it´s different. When i grow up i wouldn´t like to be like Michelle Pfeiffer, because i know my life it´s not her´s. But i know too that her life is fascinatingly similar to millions of women´s. You know, it´s Michelle´s magic that makes her being close and distant at the same time. And we, humans, love beauty..and magic. J
