Michelle Pfeiffer attends the Concert of Rihanna in London March 26, 2008
Although we haven't got the pics of the event, we know Michelle Pfeiffer attended the past 7th of March in the front row of the concert of Rihanna —famous for her song Umbrella— at O2 Centre in London (as part of her World Tour).
We haven't got more details about the news, just Michelle was there. We guess Pfeiffer should take her daughter Claudia Rose to the concert... anyway it sound rare, isn't it? Well, actually not at all since she said on 'Our Showbiz Friends' (British programme on T4) while she was doing the promotion for Stardust movie that she liked Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco.
But to me, it isn't the most important of the news... I think the news here is Michelle Pfeiffer is already in London!. Such we reported here two weeks ago, Cheri is scheduled to begin the filming the upcoming April 7th in London and Paris... so... Has Michelle begun the rehearsals for the movie?...
New poster for "I Could Never Be Your Woman" March 26, 2008
It is very odd, but there is a new poster for "I Could Never Be Your Woman". It could have been because the change of distribution or the rights of the movie... actually I don't know!
You can see here the new art for the movie, seen firstly in Thailand (thanks Yodthana for providing it!) for its launching there and now in North-America. and the truth is we can't say that this one is wonderful too... anyway it is cute! ;-)
Hollywood's hottest over 50: Michelle Pfeiffer March 24, 2008
This year, the upcoming April 29, Michelle Pfeiffer will be 50. But there are lots of actresses who will be 50 this year too such as Sharon Stone, Holly Hunter, Madonna... etc, and many many sites —even TV shows— are dedicating news to the matter.
One of them, Los Angeles Times has talked about it in the article Hollywood's hottest over 50 By Deborah Netburn: "As Madonna and Michelle Pfeiffer enjoy the last few months before their 50th birthdays (Pfeiffer’s in April, Madonna’s in August), we took a look at other celebrities who are still smoldering at 50."
And I've really loved that they says on Michelle: "She’s not 50 yet, but we’re including her anyway because we’re certain that by 50 she’ll still be the hottest of this bunch. Pfeiffer is blessed with a slim physique, perfect facial bone structure, seductive cat eyes and old-school movie star elegance. Her skin is not flawless, she’s not hiding her age, she’s bonier than she used to be, but when she walks a carpet, she’s usually the most beautiful woman on it.". Also you can see other celebrities such as Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, Liam Neeson... etc who have already passed the 50s.
More about "Cheri" and remembering Pfeiffer|Frears March 19, 2008
We can already say Michelle is into the pre-production of Cheri, according the whole and reliable media where the news has been published.
The movie is schedule to start the filming the upcoming April 7th, in France and London. About the production let's remember it will be directed by Stephen Frears, with a script by Christopher Hampton based upon the novel Colette's Cheri. Whith Michelle Pfeiffer, Rupert Friend and Kathy Bates.
The movie is set in 1920s Paris, where the young son (Friend) of a wealthy courtesan (Bates) is educated in the ways of love by a middle-aged friend of the man's mother (Pfeiffer). When he is forced to give up the six-year relationship after marrying someone else, the young man can't forget her and retreats into a fantasy world.
For the role of the young girl who will marry Cheri, it'd been heard Evan Rachael Wood, but nothing confirmed yet.
Now, I'd like remember the wonderful work of the team Stephen Frears - Christopher Hampton - Michelle Pfeiffer in my faourite movie: Dangerous Liaisons with this amazing pfan-video dedicated the movie, thanks dinavelvet, for this beautiful video with the music of "Bright eyes" by Art Garfunkel. I hope you like it!

Michelle Pfeiffer will be finally lea March 17, 2008
Although we haven't got a definite confirmation still. According several sources such as Reuters and Hollywood Reporter, it seems Stephen Frears' Cheri is pretty closed to be played by Michelle!
And besides now there are new details about the cast. the news says: Rupert Friend, who captured the heart of Keira Knightley in "Pride & Prejudice," will romance Michelle Pfeiffer in another period drama.
He will play the title character in "Cheri," which is based on French writer Colette's provocative 1920 novel. Stephen Frears ("The Queen") is directing.
Kathy Bates is in final negotiations to play his mother, Madame Peloux, a famed courtesan in 1920s France. Peloux sends the spoiled Cheri to her courtesan pal Lea de Lonval (Pfeiffer) for an adult education, but their six-year affair comes to a painful end when he's forced to marry a wealthy young woman.
"Cheri" will reunite "Dangerous Liaisons" partners Pfeiffer, Frears and screenwriter Christopher Hampton. Miramax and Pathe will distribute.
Well pfans, I think we can be happy enought for the news! A month ago Michelle was in final negotiations to play in the movie, now I think the deal must be pretty closed!
On the other hand, it will be the second chance to see Michelle Pfeiffer and the great Kathy Bates together again, and besides it will be in two consecutive movies, let's remember that Personal Effects with Ashton Kutcher is being completed in post-prodution and where Bates is the mother of Kutcher, the love interest of Pfeiffer in the movie.

Pfeiffer: "I paid the price in Tequila Sunrise". March 5, 2008
It is well known that Michelle Pfeiffer doesn't keep a very good memories of her experience in Tequila Sunrise. In the movie , Pfeiffer plays Jo Ann, the silky restauranteuse, a part which is so totally a man's romantic fantasy of the perfect woman... But while her performance in the movie was almost unanimously praised, she remembers the experience only bitterly, deflecting for her work by saying that she hasn't seen the film and has no plans to.
Professionally, Pfeiffer seems very much in control, a status achieved through her rigorous selection of parts and her ability to milk them for a subtlety not always evident in the script. Even to roles which used her as a beautiful icon—the frosty mobster moll in Scarface, or the fairy-tale heroine in Ladyhawke—she brought a tantalizing hint of vulnerable strength... but when we talk about "Tequila..." Michelle shrugs off her role as "The Girlfriend" opposite Mel Gibson and Kurt Russell. According her "might catch flipping channels, on HBO." She continues: "I had a hard time playing that part. It was very limited as far as what I could do. She's a very controlled sort of person; I don't find those roles fun to play."
However, Robert Towne says only that "of all the actresses I've worked with in Hollywood, going back a lot of years, to my earliest days, Michelle was the most difficult. Perhaps it was because she didn't really want to play the character."
"And proud of it," she responds tartly. Michelle also agree, "What I look for in a director is freedom, and that's not what I got from Bob. It was a matter of chemistry."
PfeifferTheFace.com needs your support. March 1, 2008
This isn't going to be a tear-jerking plea for your cash, and I'm not going to try and convince you that starving author will continue to go hungry if you don't pass some bucks. Instead, I'm just going to tell you...
I've been around since June 2, 2002 (with a year off in the middle). Since that time PfeifferTheFace's visitor-ship and traffic have both grown enormously, so I changed the site from a free server (you know, which uses be little space and low bandwidth) to hire space web to upload the site, but it's always a limit of space and traffic and you can prove the size of this site, with all stuff and the images in HQ inside, so I decided buy a own server and hire a own IP exclusively for this site, so the site could go on growing with no problem of space (remember that it's been uploaded only a 25% of my entire personal collection about Pfeiffer at the time), although it could work a little slower, and all that paid every month.
Besides, I have to add the buying of the domain name. PfeifferTheFace.com... (paid every year)
My volunteered time is always free, of course, I'm not counting the hours which I use during my work-time, my friends-time, my partner-time, etc. I know I love and enjoy working on the site, it is my project and it is made with all my love for Michelle and Pfans. However, pictures, magazines, articles, interviews, covers, movie-programs, posters... and almost the whole rare/old stuff which I use buy bidding on EBAY and which I use uploade and update every day COST MONEY.
To date I have funded these from my own pocket, and you can believe me when I tell you that it's been (and it is) a lot. The past fall, then of the latest releases (Hairspray and Stardust) and the event at Walk of Fame of Hollywood where I tried to get every (national or international) magazine, picture or stuff with Michelle on, finally my savings vanished. That is why I ask for you to donate a small amount of money so that PfeifferTheFace may continue to entertaining and enjoy to you all month to moth with new features and stuff.
My only conclusion here is if I don't get a enough amount every month, I'll sadly have to say "good bye" very soon.
So if you ask yourself "Why should I donate", you can find the answer everyday when you are entering the site and discovering all the new stuff online...
This pfan-site needs your help to go on growing. Please, read the reasons why you should make a donation and the people who unselfishly are supporting this site, so you can be here, enjoying with us.
