The
Teaser poster of 'Hairspray' is already
revealed
March 30,
2007 |
| Finally
we can see the poster of Hairspray
movie, but I gues it is simply an advance,
it should be the teaser-poster
of the movie, and it shows the middle-faces
of everyone in the cast, the "hairspray"
that everyone wears. And it says: "Who
is who behind the do?" and
it announces the date of release with
the famous words that they have been promoting:
"Get ready
for something big July 20th!"
I have recognize I like the poster, full
color. You can see the poster in a bigger
size clicking the pic.
Thanks a lot Marla
for posting it at the Pforum. |
'Hairspray'
cast in People magazine
March 25,
2007 |
|
The cast of Hairspray
movie will be featured in the new issue
of People
magazine, -April 2, 2007- in an article
dedicated to the latest ShoWest
2007.
You can see the full picture and the
text joined to it at Magazines
Gallery clicking
here. And the single shoot in a bigger
size at ShoWest
2007 in Red
Carpet Gallery.
It has been upload to the Official
Hairspray Blog. Thanks Juanita
for the info. |
Paramount
launches finally the trailer of 'Stardust'
March 23,
2007 |
| Such it was
announced yesterday by Neil
Gaiman, the Official Trailer of
Stardust
has finally been released at Yahoo!Movies.
Whether we could see the first images
of the movie in that false-teaser-trailer
and really it was good, now you can see
the whole trailer with new images in High
Definition clicking
here where you can choose between
three size-resolutions or in a small screen
clicking
here.
Well, I guess the look alikes with the
Gollum of LOTR will go out soon
( referred to the make-up)
And you can see the Trailer
captures here. |
It's
launched a "first poster" of
'Stardust' which actually it is not
March 22,
2007 |
| A
site in the net launches a poster with
the single image of Michelle as the official
poster of Stardust,
but actually it is not
Well, the truth is the poster is nice,
but it is evident that it is not the official
poster. You can see it in a bigger version
clicking on the picture on the right,
I've added it to the Posters
Gallery at Stardust
Subweb as "Fan-art"
I guess the main poster should have to
all the main actors in the film, remember
The Lord Of The
Rings posters, The
Chronicles of Narnia... etc, and
the art of Stardust
may be in that line. On the other hand
I guess, like all the greatest productions,
that Paramount
will launch individual posters, i.d.,
they will design posters for every single
actor, like Harry
Potter, Pirates
of the Caribean... etc
About this poster, I guess the webmaster
should think that wheter in his site appeared
the first poster of the movie, he would
receive a lot of visitors and a lot of
people would visit the site... and the
truth is that he has got it, because all
people talks about it, forums, chats,
blogs and many sites which are waiting
any new news like us.
On the other hand, when PfeifferTheFace.com
uploaded that famous article from a Spanish
Magazine, Metropolis
(October 8, 2006), with the first
images of the movie it was a great great
great success for this site because many
sites taken the images and they linked
to The Face,
that day we got a lot a lot visitors,
even that pictures were cut and publised
in several sites, even they are in bad
quality.
So
I understand that every webmaster want
the success and many of them invent new
stuff to get new visitors, it is understandble,
the same has happened with the Russian
trailer...
On the other hand, according to Neil
Gaiman in his Journal,
the real trailer of the movie will go
live at Yahoo!
Movies at midday us pacific time on
friday. Finally!!
Thanks a lot my brother Bond
and Juanita
for the infos! |
Finally
the Official Site of 'Stardust' is already
online
March 20,
2007 |
| Yesterday
it was launched the Official site of Stardust,
we have waited long time, and I have to
say that it is nice. You can see it cliking
here.
Well, although I feel happy for it because
it is a new step for the upcoming news
about Michelle Peiffer
and her three new movies, I have to say
that this Official site is poor. I explain:
seeing all the long time that we have
had to wait to see it, it have nothing
"special", well, five pictures
(we already knew), five wallpapers (idem),
a simple Synopsis, a simple list of filmmakers,
and simply list with cast (and whitout
pic)... I feel actually a little disappointment.
But what is the new in this site? the
background??...
I don't know if i feel so because maybe
I'm not in my best frame of mind... or
I don't know... any way the news is here.
Thanks Juanita
for the info
On the other hand the famous "unofficial"
teaser trailer of Stardust
has been removed of YouTube and the Russian
site. I guess that Paramount has asked
to cancelled from any site where it could
be seen. Well, maybe if they had launched
the official in time, nobody had have
to create a new alternative. |
The
current Teaser-Trailer of 'Stardust' not
an actual trailer
March 17,
2007 |
| Definitely
I'll come crazy!! Whether a few minutes
before I'was uploading the new clip of
the Stardust
as the new Teasr-Trailer, now Neil
Gaiman tells in his Journal
web that it is false and he wonders how
the Russian site, Kino-Express,
was been able to get the images, and he
announces the true Trailer could be ready
very soon:
"I just looked at
it -- it's not an actual trailer, and
it seems to be a bunch of shots cobbled
together from unfinished CGI footage and
has some Pirates of the Caribbean music
on it, and I'm not sure who did it or
for what, and it honestly isn't something
I'd feel good about linking to and saying
"This is a Stardust Trailer".
So I won't. It should take you a second
or two to find it with a google if you
go looking for it. It's possible this
might encourage Paramount to bring the
real trailer out a week or two earlier
than they were going to, but I believe
the trailer will be out in the next three
weeks anyway."
Well, could be it a campaign of marketing
or simply the clips were stolen?... it
is very rare rare rare... ;-P Anyway we've
had a little approximation of that the
performance of our dear Michelle will
be!
Thanks Juanita
for the info! |
Finally
the teaser-trailer of 'Stardust' is already
online!
March 17,
2007 |
| What a week
that we've taken! Now we can already watch
an advance of the trailer of Stardust,
It is the first images of the film. It
has been upload to a Russian site, Kino-express,
so the video is subtitled in Russian.
You can see the teaser-trailer clicking
here.

Here had been the trailer from YouTube.
On the other hand, Moriarty
from Ain't
it Cool News web comments this little
advance-trailer: "This
certainly is not what any real trailer’s
going to look like, but it seems to be
a quick promotional reel that shows just
a hint of the main story set-up, and then
a quick barrage of imagery.
And,
no, I don’t know why something like
this pops up on a Russian site when Paramount
hasn’t even cut a domestic trailer
or finalized a poster design for the film
yet. At the moment, they’re still
trying to figure out how to advertise
it without calling it a “fairy tale”
(which it is) or comparing it to THE
PRINCESS BRIDE
(a beloved classic that didn’t make
a ton of money in the theater), something
which appears to have sent their marketing
department into a state of near-paralysis."
Thanks Juanita
and Dennis
for the infos and the video. |

Ain't
It Cool News and Entertainment Weekly
webs reports the presentation of Hairspray
March 15,
2007 |
| Quint
from Ain't
It Cool News web publishes the first
reviews about the footage of Hairspray
and reports the New Line’s big presentation
on ShoWest 2007. You can read his whole
article clicking
here.
And here you can read some parts of it:
"I
must be crazy because the trailer for
Hairspray,
the teaser that’s online, didn’t
do a goddamn thing for me. The pictures
of Travolta
in a fat suit didn’t do a goddamn
thing for me. In fact, I thought he looked
ridiculous and creepy. All that didn’t
work for me, but the nearly 10 minutes
they showed at ShoWest completely turned
me around. I was laughing, nodding my
head along with the music and had a big,
goofy grin on my face, I’m sure.
Am I crazy to think Hairspray
might not just be good, but a movie I
really, really like? Maybe it was the
atmosphere. Could be that. They had tons
of food, which sucked for me because I
didn’t expect it and had just dropped
$16 on a buffet. They had giant canisters
of hairspray, easily 20-30 feet high,
all around the room. The inflated canisters
even had fog machines in the nozzle that
would randomly spray out. On top of that,
they had a whole late ‘50s/early
‘60s theme going on, with the DJ
spinning great oldies. The front of the
ballroom was decked out like a ’50s
TV dance party set, complete with of the
era giant cameras.
They
started the footage, which was essentially
a big collection of the musical numbers.
[...] Right away, the colors popped. The
reds bright, the yellows bright, but it
still looked like a film, not like a spoof.
[...] The footage started off with a tune
called GOOD MORNING, BALTIMORE, sung by
the plump and bubbly Tracy Turnblad (Nicole
Blonsky). She’s great. She’s
very natural in front of the camera, confident
in herself and just plain cute. Near the
end of the number, the screen goes dark
and a spotlight illuminates, shining on
Nicole Blonsky,
continuing the song live and in person.
This happened a few more times: James
Marsden, Zac
Efron, Elijah
Kelley [...] The topper was Queen
Latifah continuing my favorite
clip from the flick [...] I didn’t
see Christopher
Walken sing and dance, but he did
come out with the entire cast, including
Travolta,
Michelle Pfeiffer,
all the kids and director Adam
Shankman.
I
really can’t believe I liked this
footage. I was actually kind of dreading
coming out to this event, but it has become
one of my favorites of ShoWest so far.
I know you won’t believe me. I understand.
I wouldn’t believe me, either, before
seeing this footage. The movie could still
not work, but the musical numbers are
great and shot well. It’s got an
overall quirky smiley feeling. There’s
lots of energy in the footage. [...]"
And on the other hand, Entertainment
Weekly reports about the presentation
party too (you can read the whole article
clicking
here):
"Finally,
last night, New Line threw a party in
honor of its big summer musical, Hairspray.
The crowd roared as it soaked in a series
of musical numbers performed both in a
handful of clips from the film and onstage
by the likes of Zac
Efron, James
Marsden,
and Queen
Latifah.
They were joined in a final bow by their
director, Adam
Shankman,
and fellow stars Nikki
Blonsky,
Christopher
Walken, Michelle
Pfeiffer,
Brittany
Snow, Elijah
Kelley, Allison
Janney, and
John Travolta.
And, boy, I can't remember any other ShoWest
crowd going wilder than when this one
caught a glimpse of Travolta
all dolled up in drag as the corpulent
mama Edna Turnblad. "I
was very excited about that,"
the star told me after the event, which
was the first time a large audience got
to see what he had cooked up. "My
choices seemed to work, and I seemed to
pull off what I was hoping I could pull
off: I was hoping to do it as a woman,
not as a man doing a woman."
His costar Pfeiffer
(a fellow Grease movie vet!), meanwhile,
seemed thrilled as well, if a little befuddled
by the whole Vegas experience. "I
forgot where I was,"
she laughed backstage, while staring in
shocked awe at her seat, the tackiest
white-velvet sofa in the history of the
world. "Honest
to God, I forgot where I was for a minute!
I forgot where I was. I'm in Vegas."
Funny, Michelle. But, hey, have you got
any ChapStick?"
Thanks Dennis
& Juanita
for the infos. |
Presentation
of 'Hairspray' movie in the ShoWest
March 15,
2007 |
| Yesterday,
Wednesday, March 14 at 7:45pm, New
Line Cinema launched Hairspray
the movie in a event titled "Something
Big Is Coming!" in the ShoWest
convention in Las Vegas.
The presentation was supported by the
cast members who possed for the photographers,
among them, Michelle

hair!), John Travolta,
Queen Latifah,
Christopher Walken,
Allison Janney,
Nikki Blonsky,
Zac Efron,
Brittany Snow,
James Marsden,
Elijah Kelley
and the movie director Adam
Shankman.
On the other hand, Stardust
has been in the convention too, the past
March 12, Paramount
had a hard act to follow, but they made
up for Sony's screening of trailers and
footage with an extensive collage running
down all of their movies in the works,
cut together especially for international
exhibitors, and it did include a couple
first looks at movies that are a ways
off showing bits and pieces from upcoming
movies like Will
Ferrell's Blades
of Glory, Disturbia
and Stardust,
ShoWest
(now in its 33rd year) is the most prestigious
and longest running event exclusively
for the cinema exhibition and distribution
community. In this competitive landscape
for market-share, theatre owners and operators
need to know about the latest products
and services, the newest technologies,
industry happenings and upcoming films.
That's why, every year, over 5,000 motion
picture industry professionals make ShoWest
their "must-attend" event.

The
new Teaser of 'Hairspray' has already
been launched
March 14,
2007 |
| Hi
Pfriends, the waited teaser poster of
Hairspray
has
been launched. It has not images about
the movie, only the names of the actors
and actresses, but it is good with its
retro-style.
Also on the other hand we can see the
name of Michelle
Pfeiffer on the second place, only
behind of John Travolta
name.
I've upload it to Hairspray
Poster Gallery, go and see it in a
better quality.
Thanks a lot Ericfo for the info! ;-) |
the
Israeli band The Homesicks dedicates a
song to Michelle Pfeiffer
March 12,
2007 |
| The
Israeli band The
Homesicks launches a new EP, named
"Modes of Production"
which holds several pearls. One of them
is the secong song, "Michelle,"
which was probably designed as the catchy
hit, is more upbeat (the band members
explained they wrote it in protest of
the parts that Michelle
Pfeiffer chose to play in her recent
movies…), a sort of cute lollypop
with nice harmonies.
The Homesicks
are: singer, guitarist, and lead writer
Haim Cohen;
Gal Hermoni
on keyboards; Omri
Greenfeld, bass; drumer Yoav
Lahav; and Tamar
Afek, the female singer and guitar
player who left after the album was cut
and was replaced by Billy
Levi. The band members are mostly
students and their neo-Marxist views are
clearly accented (as in the EP lyrics
and title, for example).

Pfeiffer's
Catwoman, one of the favourite Tatoos
February
28, 2007 |
| According
EW.com,
The New York Times recently published
a freaky-compelling photo gallery of regular
folks' celebrity-likeness tattoos (click
here to see it) — everything
from a silver-haired Bob
Barker with the tagline "Come
on Down" to a haunting, open-mouthed
Alice Cooper.
There's also in-character sketches, like
Michelle Pfeiffer
as Catwoman,
and a chillingly accurate Jack
Nicholson breaking through the
bathroom tour in The
Shining.
Anyhow, while you ponder the question
of why anyone would want to permanently
mark their arm with a tuxedoed Tony
Danza, ask yourself this question:
If you were forced at gunpoint to tattoo
a stars visage onto your body, who would
it be, and where would you put it?...
A question you can answer in the new Forum!
Well guys, I have a conffession to do
to all you: maybe I'm crazy or a freak,
but the tatoo in my arm says "Michelle
Pfeiffer", but it is in Chinesse,
four chinesse letters. My brother Bond
sent me the image for the tatoo... if
you want to see it, well, I'll post it
in the forum. ;-) |

issue of Allure
Magazine with Michelle
Pfeiffer on the cover and a wonderful
article where "Michelle
talks openly about the positives and negatives
of being beautiful." the article
comes enclosed with a wonderful pictures
by Michael Thompson
(who had already shooted her in the past
Allure August 2000 issue) and other pictures
on her career.

Advance
of Allure March issue.
February
18, 2007 |
| New
York Daily News web publishes an advance
of the article of Allure
magazine March issue and a picture of
the shoot session by Michael
Thompson, it says:
Pfeiffer: Don't hate me
because I'm beautiful
Michelle Pfeiffer in the latest issue
of Allure magazine.
Michelle Pfeiffer might be closing in
on 50, but you wouldn't know it from the
new issue of Allure magazine.
The actress is as gorgeous as ever - and
she talks about how her beauty has been
as much a curse as a blessing.
In an interview with Judy
Bacharach, Pfeiffer recalls the
heat she took for playing a frowsy waitress
opposite Al Pacino
in the 1991 film "Frankie
and Johnny."
"That was one
of our biggest criticisms: that you couldn't
believe me in the part," she
said. "And
my argument is always, 'You know everyone
can be damaged. And pretty people can
be just as damaged as ugly people or fat
people.'"
"It was harder
for me to get a good part. When I went
into an audition, I had to be better because
I was beautiful."
Pfeiffer turns 49 in April and though
she appears untouched by the ravages of
time, she does note that roles for women
in the over-40 category are scarce.

Stardust
could be released in released in Cannes
Film Festival.
February
15, 2007 |
| According
Hollywood Reported
from Paris: As the Berlin International
Film Festival winds down, attention is
beginning to focus on the Cannes
Film Festival, which kicks off
May 16.
After the poor reception given to last
year's opener "The
Da Vinci Code," pressure is
on to find a more crowd-pleasing title
for the 60th edition. One option is the
hugely ambitious documentary "Earth,"
which offers a dazzling look at natural
life on the planet. A more conventional
contender is "Ocean's
Thirteen" from Palme d'Or
winner Steven Soderbergh.
That would allow for a top-flight red-carpet
gala given that the all-star cast is headed
by George Clooney,
Matt Damon,
Brad Pitt
and Al Pacino.
Although it is too early for titles to
have received any locked-down slots, artistic
director Thierry
Fremaux looks to have a good choice
of titles from the U.S. and France.
Among
the former is Cannes golden boy Quentin
Tarantino's exploitation double-feature
"Grind
House," co-directed with Robert
Rodriguez. "Pirates
of the Caribbean: At
World's End" is one possibility
for an out of competition slot. The fantasy
adventure "Stardust,"
starring Claire
Danes, Robert
De Niro and Michelle
Pfeiffer, also might show up. "Spider-Man
3" is thought unlikely because
it bows in the U.S. on May 4 ahead of
the festival. Despite early speculation
that DreamWorks' "Shrek
the Third" would make the
trip -- following in the footsteps of
its predecessors -- the odds seem to be
lengthening.

Two
small clippings in Us Weekly and In Touch
magazines this week.
February
14, 2007 |
| This week we
can see to Michelle in two clippings in
mazines:
One
of them is in US
Weekly, a small clipping where
it is advanced the new cover of Allure
magazine for March, Michelle
Pfeiffer shooted by Michael
Thompson, who had already photographed
her several times, one of them the last
cover of Allure
in August 2000. Michelle appears really
beautiful on the cover (I think, of course)
and she wears a look kinda 70's and dressed
by Oscar de
la Renta. You can read the small
article cliking
here.
And the second one has been published
in the magazine InTouch,
the article is dedicated to "the
hottest movies not to miss"
and I
Could Never Be Your Woman is
one of them. The part of this movie is
titled "The new Demi and Ashton?"
and you can read the article clicking
here.
I'd love to thank Marla
from OPAL
for sending us this wonderful clippings! |
And
a new release date for ICNBYW... now wide!.
February
13, 2007 |
| Well...
I don't know what is that I must think
about the release of I
Could Never Be Your Woman.
How many differentent dates of release
have got this movie?... well, now a new
one: according Boxofficemojo.com
it will be launched in June 15, and in
a wide release... but they mark the Distributor
as "unknown".
Could have the iniciative of Marla
helped? Anyway thanks Marla and your eagerness!
Thanks Juanita
for the info. |
Finally
'I Could Never Be Your Woman' in theatres
in April.
February
8, 2007 |
| Well,
finally it could be that I
Could Never Be Your Woman is launched
in April 6, 2007,
although it won't a wide release, but
itl will be released at 1.200 cinemas.
I guess it will be the most important
USA cities. All this according Boxofficemojo.com
and Comingsoon.net.
On the other hand it will have to compete
with other seven great films in wide release,
including the new Tarantino
Grind House,
the drama The Hoax
by Lasse Hallstrom
with Richard
Gere and Alfred
Molina; the fantasy-comedy Penelope
with Christina
Ricci and Reese
Witherspoon... among others
Thanks Juanita
for the info |
definitively
June for 'I Could Never Be Your woman'?
February
4, 2007 |
| According
Entertainment
Weekly magazine of this week
issue there is an article about five stars
hoping to jump start their careers in
2007 and Michelle
Pfeiffer is one of them. This is
they says in the article:
This is a pivotal year for the 48-year-old
Oscar nominee, who hasn't been seen since
2002's White Oleander:
She'll play an evil witch in the sci-fi
fantasy Stardust
(out July 27), a stage mother in a film
based on the Broadway musical Hairspray
(out July 20), and a mom who falls for
a younger man (Paul
Rudd) in the romantic comedy I
Could Never Been Your Woman.
But her comeback is off to a slightly
rocky start: Woman, which was slated by
MGM to hit theaters in March, has been
pulled from the release schedule. (The
studio declined comment,
but financier Bauer
Martinez says they will release
Woman this June). Fortunately for Pfeiffer,
public goodwill may yet revitalize her
career. Says Stardust
producer Lorenzo
di Bonaventura, "When
[test audiences] see the movie, they say,
'It's so great to have her back!'"
So we have to wait if this information
is true... Here you can see the article
sent by Juanita, click on the thumbnail.. |
Let's
endorse 'I Could Never Be Your Woman'
wide release
February
1, 2007 |
| I've
just visited Gorgeous
Pfeiffer and OPAL
(Marla's site) and I've read the petition
the support the wide release of ICNBYW,
and of course PfeifferTheFace.com
adds to the call (at the moment we are
14, we need your signs).
The ICNBYW
wide release Petition to Distributors
has been created by Michelle Pfeifer Pfans
and written by Emjay
Kay. So from here I request your
time (it will be just 2 minutes) to sign
and support this iniciative:
"This is a
petition stating that the film "I
Could Never Be Your Woman" should
have wide release and not just limited
release. Since the film's announcement,
there has been a lot of excitement as
to the return of Michelle Pfeiffer, and
anticipation of yet another great Amy
Heckerling film. This film deserves the
attention of wide release for as much
as a viewing audience as any other film.
Signers of this petition are in support
of "I Could Never Be Your Woman"
having wide release - and guarentees a
ticket to be bought for this film."

siste of 'Stardust': First Version
February
1, 2007 |
| According Neil
Gaiman's Journal, Paramount

| Limited
release for 'I could Never Be Your Woman'?
January
24, 2007 |
| According
ComingSoon.net,
I Could Never Be
Your Woman is now slated for
a Feb 16th limited release, and the new
distributor will be Freestyle
Releasings.
Juanita,
one faithful colaborators of this site,
says that if that's the case, then this
movie is screwed even more than before.
feb 16th is right around the corner, and
there is no new trailer, no tv spots,
no poster, no publicity from the stars,
etc.
I don't know the distributor, but according
Juanita it
isn't good at all. the distributor only
releases films in very few cities, and
then they go quickly to DVD.
So today it is a sad news again! More
info in ComingSoon.net.
Thanks Juanita
for the info. |
