Two great directors sheduled for Pfeiffer.
November 11, 2004
Two projects have had the name of Michelle
Pfeiffer on the head since March of this year. At the moment
not many facts have been known but recently it seems that two new
great names are interested on those two projects: they are the directors
Milos Forman for Witness
For The Prosecution and Juan
Jose Campanella for She’s Gone.
According Entertainment-news.org,
Witness For The Prosecution gets closer
to the starting gate now that director Milos
Forman's back in the U.S. and in talks with Dan
Melnick, who exec produces, Dan
Rissnere and Marion Rosenberg
producing the MGM'er. Mathew Prichard,
Agatha Christie's grandson who
runs the Christie estate, told Rosenberg the script by David
E. Kelley "is the best adaptation
of any of his grandmother's works." Agatha
Christie is the most read author in the English language
- outside of Shakespeare - and the Bible. As for the casting - those
who've read Kelley's script say Michelle
Pfeiffer would be perfect in the role played by Marlene
Dietrich. And Variety
says that negotiations are taking place with the director of One
Flew over the Cuckoos Nest to direct the film. How exciting
they don't seem to have got very far though as nothing major has
been announced for a while.
And for She’s Gone, Variety
also tell us that Juan Jose Campenella
is still on board to direct the movie but is now doing Click
with Adam Sandler… only
this.
We must remember that Milos Forman
is one of the most respected directors, he’s won the Academy
Award twice. The first one by One Flew Over
the Cuckoo's Nest in 1975 and the second one by Amadeus
in 1984. He offered to Michelle Pfeiffer
the part of the Marquise of Merteuil in Valmont
film (finally played by Annette Benning),
his own version of Dangerous Liaisons,
but she refused and preferred Stephen
Frears’ one. Maybe it is the moment to work together
thanks to “Witness For…” And on the other hand,
the Argentinian Juan Jose Campanella
has become one of the most admired and awarded directors in Spain
and Latin-America. In 1999 he directed Same
Love, Same Rain and in 2001 Son of
the Bride, one of the most beautiful films of that year and
one of my favourite films – I cried like a child! –
really I’d love to see to Pfeiffer and Capanella together
in a project.
We’ll have to wait the decision of Michelle.

Michelle
Pfeiffer Won't Appear on Kelley's Boston Legal.
October 11, 2004
According
ABC News Michelle
Pfeiffer unlikely to appear on husband David
E. Kelley's latest TV show. Kelley said Michelle could have
a role on his Practice spinoff, Boston
Legal only if certain conditions are met. "She
would be great. The trick would be convincing her to ever work with
me. Even though I might be able to persuade her that other people
are running the show, she might not quite believe that I would completely
stay out of the process," he said. Boston
Legal is starring by James Spader
and William Shatner as two eccentric
lawyers.
"We made one rule that we would try
not to work together if possible. For example, I wrote a feature
a year ago that I thought she would happen to be right for. She
read it, she liked it, and the next day I was fired off the project,"
David talks about Chasing Montana,
the next project which currently is in development for Focus
Features and will be directed by the danish Susanne
Bier.

New
actors goto liberate Paris.
September 30, 2004
Liberating
Paris is the new-possible project for Michelle. At the moment,
Linda Bloodworth Thomason, the
autor is promoting the book which the movie will be based in. Every
new interview to Bloodworth Thomason goes followed of new possible-names
to star the movie. So, together with Michelle (as Milan), it seems
Billy Bob Thornton (as Brundidge),
Dwight Yoken (as Jeter) and Melissa
Etherige will be in the film according sources like Kait8.com
and Daily
American Republic. The question is... Are those names said -even
Michelle pfeiffer's name- only for giving importance to the novel
release?... Anyways, we'll have to take a long time to know if it'll
be true or no because before Liberating Paris
is a truth, first Bloodworth Thomason has written and will direct
her first movie Southern Comfort based
on the documentary of the same name that won at the Sundance
Film Festival and it will star Sissy
Spacek, Demi Moore, Melissa
Etheridge, Alan Cummings,
Henry Thomas and Mary
Kay Place. Let's hope...

Michelle
Pfeiffer, one of the best facial features during the 1980's.
September 23, 2004
In
an effort to help better understand the dynamics of perceived beauty,
the American Academy of Facial Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) recently surveyed its members
-- facial plastic surgeons, true face specialists -- to rate the
facial features of celebrities over the past four decades and to
determine how beauty has changed over time. In addition, the Academy
asked its members to identify the greatest advancements and milestones
in facial plastic surgery.
So, the 1980's (fall 80's - early 90's) - Eighties glamour; big
hair and bold makeup represented the beauty ideal of this time.
Acording face specialists, Michelle
Pfeiffer (38%) and Harrison Ford
(30%) -come in a close second- embodied the best facial features
during this decade, behind model Christie
Brinkley (49%) and actor Mel
Gibson (33%).

Liberating
Michelle?.
September 21, 2004
Linda
Bloodworth Thomason, best-known as creator of the popular
"Designing Women" TV series,
has done her debut novel, "Liberating
Paris", the story is placed on the small Arkansas town,
it is not her hometown of Poplar Bluff, Mo. Nor is the married doctor,
who can't resist a fling with his old flame, based on a certain
former U.S. president. Bloodworth Thomason is working on a film
version of "Liberating Paris"
that she and her colleague and husband, Harry, will produce. She's
negotiating with Michelle Pfeiffer
and Kevin Costner to play the
leads in a film adaptation of the book.
Thomason's
new book details the intertwined lives of the people of Paris, Ark.,
with particular focus on country doctor Wood and his wife Milan,
who have been ignoring a rather nasty secret for most of their marriage.
Along the way, there are weddings, coming out parties, several funerals,
a drunken bulldozer hijacking and subsequent attack on a Fed-Mart
store, eerily similar to the real-world Wal-Mart. One character
even attempts to commit suicide by overdosing on Viagra. While Thomason's
female characters are indeed strong and the driving force of the
book, "Liberating Paris"
does not come off like some man-hating epic against the foibles
of her quite compelling, if sometimes ill-behaved, male characters.
Wood has an affair with an old high school flame creating a crisis
in the marriage — which ultimately leads to an oddly sexy
fight between Milan and Wood's mistress in a car wash. However,
in Thomason's prose, Wood comes off more as a man who made a mistake
than a man hollowed out by immorality.

100 naturally Beautiful WomeN of the all times.
June 1, 2004
Michelle
Pfeiffer at #44 below Cameron
Diaz [#11], Charlize Theron
[#14], Julianne Moore [#25],
Marilyn Monroe [#27], Julia
Roberts [#28], Katherine Hepburn
[#35], Ava Gardner [#36] and
Keira Knightley [#37]. Legendary
actress Audrey Hepburn has been
voted as the most beautiful woman of all times in a list of the
100 most beautiful women compiled by drinks firm Evian. According
to news.com, a panel comprising of beauty
editors, make-up artists, fashion editors, model agencies and fashion
photographers were asked to choose their Top 10 beauties from the
list. The Top 10 are Liv Tyler,
Cate Blanchett, Angelina
Jolie, Grace Kelly, Natalie
Imbruglia, Juliette Binoche,
Halle Berry, Helena
Christensen and Elle Macpherson.
The women in the Top 100 list were chosen for their embodiment of
natural beauty, healthy living, beautiful on the inside and out,
with great skin and a natural glow to their personality, as well
as their flawless complexion.
Webmaster notes: Well, I've always thought
these lists are very subjective. Who can really
size the beauty? I think these lists size the popularity
more than the beauty. At the moment Liv
Tyler [#2] and Cate Blanchett
[#3] are at the top in their careers. Is Liv
Tyler more beautiful than Ava
Gardner?, I don't think so, and I love Liv
Tyler. So I think theses lists are simply lists of beautiful
women and we don't should mind at the order. So, dear pfans, we
must be proud, Michelle is in it.

Michelle Pfeiffer's name is finally on two new proyects: Witness

She's Gone:

Michelle Pfeiffer Set To Star in Agatha Christie Remake
Sources: IMdB.com
and Noticine.com
Hollywood star Michelle Pfeiffer is
in talks to star in the remake of the 1957 version of Agatha
Christie's Witness For The Prosecution.
Almost 60 years after the Billy Wilder-directed
version, Pfeiffer is set to take on the role of Christine Helm Vole
(played by Marlene Dietrich in the
original film) in the courtroom drama. David
E. Kelley - who is married to Michelle - is adapting the
screenplay for the film, which has been welcomed by Christie's family.
Agatha's grandson Mathew Pritchard
said, "The role of Christine was written
for someone like Michelle Pfeiffer. She'd be perfect in it. She's
gorgeous, sultry and superbly talented. Would my grandmother approve?
Definitely. It'll be one of the biggest films ever based on an Agatha
Christie work."
Michelle Pfeiffer is Chasing Montana
Source: ComingSoon.com
and Variety.com
For
the first time, Michelle Pfeiffer and
David E. Kelley will collaborate on-screen.
Spouses are teaming up on Chasing Montana,
a drama penned by Kelley set up at Focus Features
in which Pfeiffer would topline. Danish helmer Susanne
Bier, whose Dogma film Open Hearts
won the international critics award at the 2002 Toronto International
Film Festival, will helm the drama. "Montana" was penned
specifically for his wife Pfeiffer, and follows a father (uncast)
and his daughter (Pfeiffer) -- both doctors -- whose bucolic Montana
vacation becomes a poignant and at times amusing voyage of self
discovery. Pic is being produced by Eternal
Sunshine of the Spotless Mind exec producer David
L. Bushell, and is expected to lens in the fall. Focus
Features exec VP of development and production Joe
Pichirallo will supervise the pic's development.
On the other hand, a buzz/another-possible-project since long
time ago, Pfeiffer is also currently attached to star in She's
Gone for Disney-based production
company Beacon. That script, penned by
Beacon chairman and CEO Armyan
Bernstein, is a sophisticated romantic comedy about a couple
who have been married since they were high school sweethearts --
and what happens when the husband's ingenious plan to ditch his
wife goes awry. "Gone" is being produced by Bernstein
and financed through Beacon's five-year co-financing, production
and distribution deal with Disney. |
