On 5th of December, 1981 Michelle Pfeiffer was aired on TV in one of her first great performances, the movie The Children Nobody Wanted was released on CBS as one of the Christmas movies of the week. Review started to notice about Michelle, John J. O’Connor, film critic of The New York Times, already wrote about the actress, “the cast, directed by Richard Michaels, is quite good. [...] Michelle Pfeiffer’s Jennifer is thoroughly captivating.”

So today, honoring the 28 years since its launch I’d like share with you all five clips of the movie, here the first one (you can access the rest below):

On the other hand I’d like to share with you all a nice message sent by Rick Butterfield, the nephew of the real Tom Butterfield, speaking of the video made with footage of the tv-film uploaded the last month:

“Thanks for posting scenes from the Movie. Tom Butterfield is my uncle and I can still remember when they filmed the movie and the first time Tom introduced me to Michelle. Of course at the time we did not know how famous she would become. It was amazing to see Hollywood come to Marshall and tell the story of my uncle. Butterfield Youth Services is still going strong today since 1963 and now has 7 homes located around Marshall. The film has been a great tool for fundraising and is available on DVD if you contact Butterfield Youth Services and of course since Michelle was in the movie it still gets attention.”
