‘Because You Loved Me’ from ‘Up Close & Personal’ on the Top Ten Love Songs

According the Top 10 Love Songs by AOL Radio Blog, ‘Because You Loved Me‘ sung by Celine Dion featured on the 1995 movie, Up Close & Personal, has been placed on the #1 of the list!.
It is a good time to remember this nice song with the video clip of the movie with Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer. If you didn’t watch in the time… I hope you like it now:
#1) Celine Dion: ‘Because You Loved Me’
Did you know? The Canadian chanteuse’s Grammy-winning hit was penned by songwriter extraordinaire Diane Warren, and was featured in the Robert Redford/Michelle Pfeiffer film ‘Up Close & Personal.’
Among other songs placed on the list, you can find also ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It for You‘ by Bryan Adams and written specifically for ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves‘; ‘There You’ll Be‘ sung by Faith Hill for ‘Pearl Harbor‘ movie; and Eric Clapton’s ‘Wonderful Tonight‘.

I just watched “Up Close & Personal” again some days ago. I always cry at the end, when Michelle disovers, that it’s her husband, who’s dead, because of his shoes.
OMG!!! Dennis!!!! It is a BIG BIG BIG SPOILER!!! ehheheheheh… well, I hope almost all of us have already watched the movie!!
Watched it, and sorry but i think its one of Michelles worst movies to date. Apart from I could never be your woman. But the song is nice.
And talking about music, heres an article about a rock band whose name is inspired by the film Ladyhawke – one of Michelles earlier movies.

i LOVE this film and its one of my favorite tearjerker movies and i love the song and it’s in my 25 most played songs and i’d have put it in the top 10 love songs but i dont know if i’d have put it as no.1
huh??? Robert Redford….. DIES…? *trembling upper lip…single tear*
It wasn’t a great movie by any means but I still liked her in it, especially the way they make her look different over time.
Robert Redford is going to be directing a new movie called The Conspirator about Mary Surratt. Anybody else think this would be a good role for Michelle?
I love this film and the song, the film makes me cry soooo much I can’t stop! I love the fact that Michelle really sells her performance xx LOVE IT!!
Ok, the movie is not one of her’s best but i like Michelle’s work on it and also all the diferent looks she has during the film. I don’t specially like Celine Dion songs, but we must reconize this is a very romantic love song. In fact the soundtrack of this film is quite good.
I LOVE THIS SONG
this film is the only film that made me sob so much watching it!!
LOL!
In fact, it’s funny that it’s one of the most famous movie of Michelle for the public besides Pfans.
I think she acted a bit un-natural at the begining, but she gets better and better when the story goes on, and this song was really a huge hit! I bought the paper-packed single with Michelle on it as well!!! This is one of the most romantic movie of Michelle so far.
In Hong Kong, most of the people who talk about Michelle Pfeiffer will mention this movie, otherwise it’s What Lies Beneath or I Am Sam. Most of the people already forgot she was Catwoman.
I will say that a fantastic Michelle moment from this so-so film is when whe is reporting live over the ear phones with Stockard Channing, and Channing says something deliberately very confusing; Michelle just looks at the camera with that very perplexed half closed eye she does so well and affirms “…Right, Marcia…!?” Check that scene out it is really hilarious.
@FrankieD…XDDDDD
I think Redford dies while listening Celine’s song. It’s the more justificated R. Redford death in cinema history.
Beautiful song , I still remember and love it. When I saw this movie I think about her character that alway stumble , fall and falter.
@bond, I totally agree. her acting is a bit unbelivable in the begining, but she gets better when the story goes on.
Heres a gay blogger who lists the 12 women he´d go after if he were straight. its really interesting. guess whos on top of the list:

oh no! i havent seen the movie yet but now i know the ending T__T but aww the video is nice, never seen it until now.
@Roald77— That is a fantastic “Go Hetero For” List… he can have an asignation with Michelle if he promises to do SOMEthing about getting rid of Perez Hilton… Sound like a good deal?
@FrankieD :)
nah, i don’t like this movie.
michelle’s great in it, but i didn’t like the story.
love the song though
FrankieD, I also like Michelle’s face in the scene at the first part of the movie, when the co-presenter of the news tries to seduce her with a terrible joke when she is getting a coffee on her desk. Michelle’s face is also quite hilarious.
@Marc:
Yes part of why I love Michelle so much is because she has the ability to look SO GOOFY and over-the-top with her reactions and still have them be heartfelt. Other great Michelle quirky face moments are:
Susie Diamond says “This is Showbuisiness???”-
After Luren Hallet starts the bird song in LOVE FEILD-
Stepanie Zinone says “not WEIRD weird, but, like, EXCITING weird”-
ICNBYW when the ID check guy is taking too long with her liscence (i am obsessed with that halfclosed eye because I do it too!)
Can any of the other Pfans think of funny goofy face moments in her work? I think there really are quite a few.
There are some in One Fine Day, I remember clearly because it’s the last Michelle film I’ve revisited.
Another “halfclosed eye” Michelle’s scene i remember now is in Dangerous Minds, when the student show her the book they are reading in class title … “My darling, my hamburguer”
