Michelle Pfeiffer and the Golden Age of her Beauty

That Michelle Pfeiffer is still beautiful now that she is 51 is well know by everybody. Even many people could considerate that she more beautiful now than ever.
But we have to be realistic, Michelle had a golden age according her beauty. Of course everybody will think in a different way about her beauty.
In my last update, the images of Michelle on public appearances in the Nineties, my brother Bond from Gorgeous Pfeiffer did an interesting comment about how he loves her look from 51th Golden Globe Awards and how he still consider her image from the 1st SAG period is her most beautiful moment so far… so it has made me think about what was the most glorious time in Michelle Pfeiffer’s beauty/face. In addition I have in my mind that interesting article by the InStyle site about the Transformation of Pfeiffer during these years.
So now, I’d like to make our own Gallery to choose what was the period in which Michelle Pfeiffer looked most beautiful in the time. Actually they are my favourites pictures of Michelle of all times!:
1980 | Promotion of B.A.D. Cats series.
Michelle Pfeiffer looks here as a Charlie Angel, really stunning!. It is perhaps my favourite picture in her early years. I’ve always thought that this picture is treasure with no price!.
1982 | The Grease 2 days
In this picture of the promotion of Grease 2 in 1982, Michelle was really pretty. Many of you knew the actress in this movie.
1985 | Michelle and her haircut.
With her new hairstyle, cut for Ladyhawke (1984) and growing little by little in Into The Night (1985), Michelle looked so nice in this picture which I love during the filming set of Into the Night. I have to remember that I really love her with her haircut becuse it is the very first image of Pfeiffer in mind. The most of you know that I discovered my pfandom watching Ladyhawke, so this style has a special feeling for me… besides I think she was amazing there!
1987 | Starting the stardom
And another top moment in her beauty (at least for me) was her appearance in The Witches of Easwick, her bulky and curly hair -so Eighties- accentuating her beauty. This picture from the wonderful photoshoots session by Herb Ritts are a fair example of that period.
1989 | The other side of the Eighties
Michelle had two extremes in the late Eighties, the curly style of 1986, 1987 and 1988 and the straight and clean hairstyle since late ‘88. This amazing picture (right) by Ritts in 1989 shows her tendency since then, also showed in The Fabulous Baker Boys, another of her beauty hits (1989) and in her public appearances such as the Academy Awards of 1989 and 1990.
1991/1992 | The Early Nineties
I think Michelle starts to show her best image here, her natural and clean beauty and her features start to become clear little by little. Michelle is the final sketch of that her image will be. Anyway isn’t she stunning into her natural look at Frankie & Johnny press conference (image 2 – below) such as she does at the Golden Globe Awards (image 3 – below)? I think that this last event is one of her best appearances…
1993/1995 | The Splendor Period of Michelle Pfeiffer
Perhaps we could considerate that these years mean the period in which Michelle’s face looked more beautiful. I think she got here her higher cat-features in her face. Besides we can’t forget that Pfeiffer was on the top of her career (after Batman Returns, 1992 and The Age of Innocence, 1993. In this period, she did Wolf, 1994 (right) where the actress shows her beauty in her total splendor.
I still remember my thoughts when I saw this picture (below, pic #1) by Matthew Rolston for the promotion of Love Field in Jan, 1993, then it was the most beautiful image of Michelle that I have seen ever to date —even I did a t-shirt with that picture, which I do still keep in my wardrobe—!!.
And on the other hand, in that period the actress was one of the main sources for magazines and gossips. I think that Michelle did ones of her best public appearances, in addition it was a busy time to attend events and awards galas thanks her husband David E Kelley (also on the top thanks to Chicago Hope and Picket Fences series), so we could see her at the 51th Golden Globe Awards (Jan 1994 | below, pic #3)) and the 1st SAG Awards (Feb, 1995 | below, pic #1 – according our Bond “her most beautiful moment so far“). Michelle was radiant in white!
1995/1998 | Michelle Pfeiffer the star
Michelle gets one of her higest hits of her career at the box-office with Dangerous Minds (1995). Pfeiffer is considertated as the star of the Nineties. Later the actress would prefer to do more personal projects such as One Fine Day (1996), A Thousand Acres (1997) and The Deep End of the Ocean (1998) which will deteriorate her stardom. But her beauty will keep on intact. So you could see her as image of the presentation of the America’s National Jewels in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History displayed on Life magazine in March, 1995; the promotion of Dangerous Minds in Detour (Sep, 1995), in an amazing photoshoots sessions by Sante D’Orazio and perhaps one of my favourite ones… look at this picture (below, pic #2). Had you seen to Michelle sexier ever?… isn’ t Michelle stunning here?… OMG, I could to die for this picture!; or the session by Neil Kirk in September, 1997 (below, pic #3) promotioning A Thousand Acress, one of the fav ones of my brother Bond (although I’m not agree with him at all):
1999-2003 | What beauty beneath
In 1998 Michelle entered in her 40s, but her mature beauty kept on the top. I can say that it became a second “golden age” in her beauty, at least in the first two years of this period. Do you remember her in movies such as The Story of Us (1999) or What Lies Beneath (2000) and also her promotional pictures in studio made in this time…for example the wonderful session by Norman Jean Roy fow US Magazine in July, 2000 (below, pic #1), one of my fav ones!
And even better they were her public appearances in this period… unforgetables!… look at the 57th Venice Film Festival, Sept, 2000 (below, pic #1), ‘I Am Sam’ Film Premiere in Los Angeles, Dec, 2001 (below, pic #2) or Toronto Film Festival: “White Oleander” World Premiere, October, 2002 (below, pic#3)… just for say some events…
2004/To date | Pfifty and Pfabulous, the renaissance of Michelle Pfeiffer
in 2008 Michelle Pfeiffer got her 50 and she has become an icon of beauty and style. As I’ve said above, many people considerate still that the actress is more beautiful than ever. We can find several examples in her public appearances. So in 2007 Michelle did one her greatest entrances in a red carpet on the Premiere of Hairspray (below, pic #1), the following month she was referenced in the whole internet and international press when she got her Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (below, pic #2). And for me, also one of the her hits was her appearance at the SAG Awards (Jan, 2008 | below, pic #3), where Pfeiffer stole the people eyes. One of her latest attendances was the Berlin Film Festival where Cheri was presented (Feb, 2009 | below, pic #4), I really love her appearance in front of the photocall… pfans were expecting so much this moment!…
Now, I’d like to know your opinion… what is your favourite period in MICHELLE PFEIFFER’S BEAUTY? You can help yourselp looking for the Public Appeaarances Gallery and the Photoshoots Gallery.

before i find my best pictures i would like to say WOW fran, this is such an amazing and detailed photo analysis, really wonderful, i really really enjoyed reading it and seeing just HOW BEAUTIFUL michelle is, she truelly is amazing!!
thank you for the work you do
She’s timeless. But if I had to choose I would say the height of her beauty was around 1989-1994. I think her face reached full maturity by then but before signs of age set in. Of course, even with a few wrinkles at age 51 she is still stunning. Breathtaking. Look at that bone structure… wow
I love all these fascinating pictures… Hope Michelle will getting old on screen for many years, and still be there in beautiful pictures…
She is so beautiful that it’s so dificult to decide about the “favourite” period, but i will say that the golden period is from 1990 to 2001. I also consider fascinating all those pictures, and agree with Bond about the “1st SAG Awards” appereance great look and i will also specially stand out her natural look in “Frankie and Johnny premiere” and even later her look in the “57th Venice Film Festival”.
But my list of special pictures will be also very very long. Including nearly ALL of the pictures and photoshoots you have chosen for the article i will also add the “Deborah Feingold” and the “Terry O Neill” photoshoots from the late 80’s. The first “Vanity Fair and Esquire” magazine pictures, also her more alternative look in “the Age of the Innocence premiere (‘93)”. O also like very much her look for the “50th Emmy awards (98)” and some pictures of the “One fine day premiere (95)”. And i have not found in the public appeareances gallery a very special appereance from Michelle i also specially like from her also more ethnic look at the “12th Golden Laurel Awards” in March 2001. I really like her look there too.
But it’s so difficult to choose one period. Even her look in the most recent photoshoots like the “Thomas Iannaccone” is so good.
I would say that my favorite period was 1988-1994. It was the peak of Michelle Pfeiffer’s career and also the peak of her beauty. Of course, she’s timeless but she really looked her best during those years.
I think I will go with 1993/1995 or 2004 – now! she is truly like fine wine which gets better as it ages! She is so gorgeous
Wow! Thanks for this! Awesome! Thanks for the work you put in to post this. She looks so beautiful in all the pictures, it’s so hard to choose just one era.
I think ‘94 – ‘95 was my favorite look for her.
I also loved the look for the I Am Sam premiere. It’s like she looks great even as she got older.
And then of course another fav look was the first Hairspray premiere. She really shined there. She didn’t disappoint us pfans, haha.
I think that ummm 1993-95 was my fav, those pictures are just wow, and in wolf i find it hard to describe beauty like that
but also recent pictures since 2007 will always be special to me as it was after hairspray that i became a huge fan
Yes Brother.
And if you can let me choose TOP 5 of the most beautiful look of Michelle in my taste, here’s my list:
1)1st SAG in 1995 (B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, Elegant, Maturity)
2)57th Venice Film Festival in 2000)(Gorgeous! LOVE Michelle in Floral!)
3)The 59th Berlin International Film Festival – “Cheri” – Press Conference (CLASSY!)
4)50th Emmy Awards (13 September 1998)(Natural, elegant)
5)Showest 1994 (Smart, Clean & Tidy)
I also agree that she’s kind of pretty and still beautiful in Hairspray premiere, or other events in year 2007. But it was a changing point of Michelle’s fashion taste, she looked fabulous there, but yet also more common/similar to other actresses.
I also think Michelle looked more special and stylish in her Giogrio Armani look back to the old days.
For me the most beautiful pffeifer is:
* At the SAG 2008 with all the Hairspray cast (one om my favorite movies) Here, Michelle was pfabulous at 50¡¡¡
* At Berlin this year
* In LadyHawke with the haircut¡
* And in the photo that Fran put here from BAD CATS, and she seems like a Charlie Angel, well she is angelic
forget about trying to steel the eternal youth of another michelle, you already have it !
