Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the movies most celebrated stars but it’s been a while since we’ve seen her. Well, next Friday she’s abck and in stunning form as usual in Cheri a story of seduction featuring courtesans, class and cougars.
In the new film Cheri, Michelle Pfeiffer plays a beautiful Paris courtesan in a turn of the century love story.
Michelle Pfeiffer: I love the part, it’s one of those projects that comes along rarely
Her costar the British actor Rupert Friend couldn’t be happier playing the younger man in this May – December romance.
Rupert Friend: I was thrilled, you know, Michelle – it’s embarrassing to talk about you like you’re not here – but it was a big honor of sharing the project with her.
Rep: The film may revolve around a woman teaching a man half a man about lust and love , but at 51 and still flawless Pfeiffer is anything but a cougar.
RF: I don’t like it because Michelle doesn’t like it – so I’m being you know, sort of supportive , but you know we don’t have it, I only learned it here that apparently it’s called a cougar if a woman goes out with a younger man – he’s not like a little puppy, you know so it doesn’t work for this man.
MP: Well, he is like a little puppy, sort of , a little bit…
RF: But he’s more of pissed off
MP: Yeah … but he makes the first move, it’s not like he’s a big victim
RF: Exactly, yeah
RF: Cougar! It’s about the original cougar, Michelle Pfeiffer
MP: You know?… Okay
RF: cougar, cougar …
