Wonderful new interview with Michelle Pfeiffer talking about Chéri with footage of new new scenes and the filming set.
I don’t sure about the video, but I think it could have been recorded in February just after the Berlin Film Festival. After reading the latest interviews from UK —I think that some of them tell that it took place on London— I could guess that she visited UK after the Festival to do the start of the promotion of Chéri. Besides, look at her hairstyle, it isn’t as long as the latest pics from the press conference in Beverly Hills (April 19th)… What do you think?

I found the character very interesting. The idea of playing a courtesan during this time and not your stereo-typical one. Not what you would expect.
And she’s very independent, you know, very shrewd business woman. And a very kind of kind and honorable person.
I think people tend to think of me more in terms of playing that sort of ice queen kind of character.
But for me I’m just looking for a good part. And it just so happens that’s the way Colette wrote her.
This movie is also a movie of a coming of age story for both people. It’s really about letting go of one chapter and moving to the next stage of your life.

You’re right Fran.She went in UK after the Berlin festival because the journalist who wrote the Point de vue article said at the beginning that she was in Uk but nobody knew…

it finally says what rating the films going to be – but now im worried because im only 13 so how am i going to get into the cinema to see it???

This movie looks so great! Those new scenes looks even better than the “trailer”. And it’s specially good to see the scenes with Michelle in the green dress these days. Do you remember that those scenes were filmed exactly one year ago when Michelle celebrated in the set in Paris her 50th anniversary?! Just a year later we can see those first scenes! Thanks!!
